![]() It will likely become the official release version soon. This is a beta version but well tested (and Integrit圜hecker only reads your files anyway!). ![]() ![]() Just posted is diglloydTools Integrit圜hecker Java version 1.3b5 (if downloaded before 16:00 Pacific time Jan 19, please download it again a minor error was in the jdk download script): icj makes use of CPU cores and disk I/O speed like very few programs can. A tremendous amount of effort has gone into this version of icj, including researching how to deliver performance that very few native-code programs can match. This version is the culmination of three weeks of coding for 14 hours a day even over the holidays. More about Integrit圜hecker and why every professional should be using it.īuy diglloydTools Integrit圜hecker Java version (icj) 1.3b5 Whatever the cause, making sure your original data and your backups are 100% exactly right bit-for-bit is something all professionals ought to be doing.ĭiglloydTools Integrit圜hecker Java version on any computer with Java-Mac, Windows, Linux, etc. “Bit rot” is rare, but lots of other Bad Stuff can happen to your data, as I learned recently. Comparing that stick to a Linux bootable USB, the only difference I can see is that the EFI partition is located at the start of the filesystem rather than at the end.- SEND FEEDBACK Related: Apple, Apple macOS, data integrity, diglloydTools, Integrit圜hecker, memory, SSD Is this an issue with older versions of MacOS? Does anyone know if there is anything else I can try?ĮDIT: I have tried the USB drives on my wife's MacBook and they boot fine from the drive, so it seems to be an issue with the iMac, not the drive.ĪNOTHER EDIT I managed to dig out a bootable Mac OS High Sierra USB stick, which is recognised by Mac OS Startup Manager. ![]() I tried resetting the system boot (CMD + Option + P + R) then inserting the boot medium and pressing option on reboot, but that doesn't seem to help. But every time I boot (holding option), I can only select the startup disk. I have tried Mint 20 (xfce flavour) and Pop_OS 21 on both a bootable USB and DVD. I am trying to install some flavour of Linux (preferable Debian/Ubuntu based) on an old (2005?) iMac. Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I am not sure where else would be best! ![]()
